‘I Like It Loud’

Smile.

My family is those who inspire me most- the support, love, and understanding through thick and thin. LOVE.

I am half Australian, and half Indonesian and grew up in a tiny-tiny town 200km (approx. 3hrs) west of Sydney, called Rylstone. I am currently living in Sydney and have recently completed a Diploma in Events and Entertainment Design at the Enmore Design Centre it was the most painful, time-consuming, stressful, yet exhilarating, fun, exciting design course EVER!

I have a lot to say about a lot of different things- Global Warming, Drought, Politics, Bullying, Youth Suicide and a whole lot more...

I am currently a summer Marketing Intern for ActNow and that’s exactly what I intend to do- Act Now!

What we do today will result in what the world will be tomorrow.

So far..... 15-01-2008 01:47

School Holidays- the best time to get this project underway. There will be a larger number of kids at the youth centre then there would be during schooling periods. So hopefully if things go to plan we can start the first workshop next week??? fingers crossed

Talking to the Youth Workers- Have a number of suggestions about running the actually workshops. The Youth Workers will provide materials such as hand outs etc.

Youth- after visiting the youth centre last week and speaking to the older kids, they seemed to be more then willing to attend the workshops.

Local Business- Only spoken to a two local businesses, a grocer and a hair dresser, both seemed relectant however asked to see resumes and may agree to an interview.

So my aim is to talk to a few more businesses and also approach places such as McDonalds, Kmart, Big W etc etc.

THE NEW VISION! 10-01-2008 11:37

I am going to work in collaboration with the Local Youth Centre and help find employment opportunities for the youth particularly those who have just finished school and are currently seeking employment.

I will contact local business asking for their support in providing employment or work experience opportunities for the youth of their community.

Organising and running workshops focusing on Resume Writing, Interview Skills as well as inviting guest speakers for motivational talks.
