Name: Jennifer
I live: Sydney for now, but Canada is home

Hey all!

I guess a brief intoduction is in order! My name is Jennifer. I'm currently on exchange in Sydney and going to uni. I'm originally from Vancouver, Canada. A gorgeous city on the west coast with a population of about 2.2 million

At the moment I'm working as an Intern here at Inspire as well as studying political science and international relations at Macquarie Uni. Ultimately I'd like to go to law school, and then get the ball rolling on my political career.

It's incredibly  inspiring to see SO much knowledge and activism among young people! I'm a firm believer in world peace and if anyone can do it, its our generation! We have the tools and the knowledge, now all we need is the determination and the will.

Do your best to turn all negatives into positives - nobody's going to do it for you. If life gives you lemons, grab a Corona and hit the beach!

Back at it! 08-10-2008 09:31

Wow! It feels like forever since I've been back at the office! 2 weeks off from Uni and work can do wonders for the brain! SO now I'm back at it, bright and shiny!

My First Week! 05-09-2008 03:18

It's crazy how fast the weeks fly by! I've been in Sydney for just over a month and I've already finished my first week as an intern here at Inspire. The other ActNow interns and I have been busy getting ourselves settled in and beginning our tasks. As part of the research and policy team, my job is to write a case study about youth participation at Inspire. It's really great how easy it is to get involved at Inspire, and how many different ways youths can get involved. I hadn't realized that there were so many different and exciting programs that the Inspire Foundation offered. The team here in the office are all really great and positive, and they make it really fun and easy to get involved and take initiative not only in the workplace but in all areas of life.
