Sorry I haven’t updated in AGES, but I’ve had ankle surgery so I’ve been out of action!
But that still hasn’t stopped progress in Tassie :)
We ran a mandala colouring in competition, at Ogilvie high School to raise awareness about Young Carers in the state. Once the competition had finished Lauren (my Young Carer worker) and I went and ran a stall during lunchtime. We had an enormous amount of girls come and grab some information about Young Carers and grab a free lollypop. It was a lot of work but it was defiantly well worth it! :)
Also Lauren and I went to a youth conference in Hobart before the state election, we asked about Young Carers in Tassie, and now we are about to follow up with a letter being sent out to parliamentarians with information and suggestions about Young Carers.
Everything is going extremely well in Tassie, hope everyone thinks so to :)
