I live: Melbourne

I am a son of migrants who moved to Australia from Chile during the dark and terrible years of the Pinochet dictatorship which saw my country isolated and destroyed by fascism.

I have been very lucky to move a such a wonderful country which gave my family everything that my own country couldn't.

As i grow older and have now a family of my own, i have seen the steady decline in tolerance and fair go that Australia gave me once. The decline in moral standards leads to people being able to commit the worst of things to others.

I feel its my duty to act as an active member of the Australian landscape and i feel that lots of people feel the same, just that we have been systematically silenced by politicians and an obedient media.

My inspirations as an Australian citizen are the people who help to create a tolerant and fair society for everyone not just the priviliged few.

 I get no inspiration by media constructed 'celebrities' who tend to gain little public sympathy and just are tempted by material gains.

A warm greeting to all 20-02-2007 09:01

This is my first few words in this medium, i would like to extend my hand to all my brothers and sisters who in any manner want to make our world, our country, our society, our community a lot brighter, happier and much more tolerant for everyone.

Lets move forward and promote a new way of thinking..

I dont consider myself a protestor of anything, i am just a man, a parent, a husband that sees around himself that things are not as what they should be in our society.

Why so much pain and anger has to be inflicted before we learn that peace and a fair society is to the advantage of everyone.
