Two Bucks, an initiative of StreetSmart Australia, was brought to life to show the impact of small actions. The leaving of a donation on a restaurant bill, as part of the StreetSmart campaign, is one such action and can change lives.
I have always believed that we need to find new ways to engage with people and communicate this message. Two Buck’s journey is also a reflection of our own life journey in that our lives need purpose and meaning and that helping others can lead us to achieve a balance in out lives and contentment.
I wrote the storyboard for this animation 2 years ago and it has taken me some time to find someone to collaborate with on this project. Nicholas Kallincos, the maker of the animation, wanted to help out StreetSmart and made the animation at no cost. He is an artist, film maker and animator and helped develop the story board and gave life to Two Bucks. Without him Two Bucks would still be abandoned and forgotten!
