I'm not sure why people discriminate against one another, but I think it has a lot to do with ignorance and fear of difference. We are all human and each of us, regardless of our ethnicities, faiths or any other factor, are of equal value and deserve to be treated as such!!
You're right, we all too often and conveniently forget that White Australia does have a Black history. All over the world and throughout history, dispossession from native land owners has occurred and has been accompanied with ignorant white superiority and discrimination. People should be aware of the consequences of our colonisation!!
