Being a politics student I know what is going on in the world and get to hear all about the hot topics. Over time I really started to care about global warming. It seems like a very daunting thing to think about and I thought because I cannot vote in Australia there is no way I can do anything about it. The government did not really seem to care. So it came to the end of the semester and I was quite over doing anything but laying in bed and sleeping. On the last day of uni my friends told me that they are going to the Walk against Warming.
First I thought : not another walk against of for something.
But then I thought the next day , how should anyone but my friends who already have me going on about global warming all the time know that I care about this issue?
Seeing that some of my friends were already going it was not to hard to tag along. Even though it wasn't much that I have done I now can say that I have shown my support for the climate change movement. In Sydney and Melbourne 80,000 people made it clear by participating in the walk against warming that they care what happens to our planet.
