i had the pleasure of seeing ben harper in concert last year.he is and amazing person and this quote is a testament to him.another quote:"they pushed me to the edge, but my will is strong,i believe in a better way"i think that sums up what this website is all about.
It is so true! I have recently become involved in Youth Challenge Australia (thanks to this site for showing me how) and if I get selected I get to travel to another country and physically help people. I may be building a school or hospital, or cooking a meal for someone or helping someone deal with their problems... the possibilities are endless! I really hope that I get this oppotunity and if I do I will definately be writing about it and posting it up on this website!
I love this quote. It's so true. I think that sometimes we get overwhelmed by everything and think "What difference can I make? I'm not Bono or Angelina Jolie...how could anything I do possibly create change in the world?"But in reality, everything we do has an impact - what we buy, how we get around, what we talk about and who we talk to... who we smile at for that matter! Sure, the celebrity change makers are doing good things - but ordinary people, like me, are making little bits of difference wherever we go!
